The presidential election petitions tribunal has reserved judgement in a petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23, 2019 presidential election.
According to the five-man panel of the tribunal led by Justice Mohammed Garba, judgement would be delivered on a date to be communicated to the parties.
Justice Garba made the announcement after the petitioners and respondents – Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) – adopted their final written addresses.
PDP and Atiku Abubakar, its presidential candidate, have asked the tribunal to declare them winners of the election.
