Dada Labinjo, a naval captain detained by the Nigerian navy since 2018, has now been transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Cable reports that they were informed by Femi Falana, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), that Labinjo was now in the custody of the EFCC. Falana said:
“He has just been brought from an underground cell by navy”.
In April, 2019, Falana had raised the alarm over the detention of Labinjo and 66 others all held without trial.
