Manchester City have announced revenues of more than £500 million after their record breaking title season in the Premier League.
The club have become only the second English club, after neighbours Manchester United, to announce such an amount of turnover.
City were the fifth highest revenue earner in the world last season at £473.4 million, but figures released on Thursday, September 13, 2018 show that their revenue has increased to £500.5 million.
Other clubs who had revenues of more than £500 million last season are, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
City reported a profit for the fourth successive year, with a figure of £10.4 million, up on the 2016-17 figure of £1.088 million, while the wage to revenue ratio stands at 52 percent.
The club’s chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak said:
“Our aim is obviously to build on the achievements of the last year.
“We will always strive for more. Our journey is not complete and we have more targets to fulfil”.
