Obafemi Hamzat, a former commissioner of works in Lagos state has withdrawn from the Lagos state governorship race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Announcing his withdrawal during a press conference on Saturday, September 29, 2018, Hamzat directed his supporters to vote for Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the party’s primary on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
Speaking on his support for Sanwo-Olu, he said that:
“I can vouch for Sanwo-Olu’s integrity and personal intelligence”.
Sanwo-Olu will square up against Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos governor, at the primary election.
