POLICE WITHDRAWS SARAKI’S INVITATION, WANTS WRITTEN RESPONSE
The Nigeria police no longer requires the Senate President to appear in person to answer questions relating to his association with Offa bank armed robbers.
The Senate President dispatched one of his aid to Force headquarters to retrieve the written invitation for him to appear to answer some questions, but was told instead not to appear in person, but to respond in writing within 48 hours.
Saraki tweeted about it today. In the tweet, Saraki said; “Following my earlier tweet, I have received the letter from @PoliceNG. They are no longer asking me to appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours, which I plan to do"
Prading the suspect Sunday, the Police spokesman told newsmen that Saraki would be invited to appear in person, to answer questions regarding his association with the robbery suspects.
