REAL MADRID APPOINT SPANISH MANAGER AS NEW COACH

Spanish giant and European champions, Real Madrid Tuesday appointed Spanish national team coach Julen Lopetegui as new head coach to replace Zinedane Zidane, who surprisingly stepped down after winning the UEFA Champions league.

Lopetegui, 51, is presently in Russia with the Spanish team, but signed a three-year contract with the Spanish giant that will see his time as Spanish coach end with the world cup in Russia.

Lopetegui was previously coach of Portuguese club, FC Porto for two sessions, before taking over as coach of Spanish national team in 2016.
