Serena Williams strolled into the Wimbledon finals after seeing off Barbora Strycova 6-1,6-2 as she continued her quest for her 24th grand slam title.

The Czech debutant could not withstand the American fire power, as the seven times Wimbledon champion dominated throughout against Strycova, who at 33 was the oldest Grand Slam semi-final debutant.

The 37-year-old American, secured her victory with just 59 minutes on the clock.

“It feels good to be back in the final,” said Williams, who lost to Angelique Kerber last year and will be appearing in the grass-court finals for an 11th time on Saturday.

Williams, who is gunning for her eight Wimbledon title, is also aiming to draw level with Australian Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 Grand Slam singles title.

The mother of one is yet to win her first major title since she gave birth to her daughter in September 2017.

It was her third meeting with the Czech and she is yet to drop a set against the her.
