A federal high court in Lagos has refused to grant the bail application for Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state.
Fayose was arraigned on Monday, October 22, 2018 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an 11-count charge bordering on abuse of office.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges as the charges were read to him.
Following his plea, Kanu Agabi, Fayose’s counsel, filed a bail application on behalf of his client but the presiding judge, Justice CMA Olatoregun, rejected the application and ordered that Fayose should remain in EFCC custody till Wednesday, October 23, 2018.
