Pop superstar George Michael passed away on Christmas day in Goring, Oxfordshire England on Christmas day according to a statement from his publicist. He was 53 years old His death which has shook the entertainment world is being treated as non suspicious by the Thomas Valley Police. The Police said there was no suspicious circumstances sorrounding his death at the moment while his family said he “passed away peacefully “without elaborating any further.
Michael’s manager Michael Lippman proclaimed the cause of his demise as heart failure. Michael – whose real name was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou – had hits including Club Tropicana and Last Christmas as a part of Wham!. He sold more than 100 million albums throughout a career spanning almost four decades.
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” the statement read. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comments at this stage.”The statement concluded.
