The national assembly has released details of its 2018 budget.
The release was done by the office of the senate president in a tweet on Friday, April 12, 2019.
You will recall that Senate President Bukola Saraki had promised that details of the budget would be made public following pressure from human rights activists and civil society groups.
The details released showed that of the 139 billion naira budgeted, 35 billion naira went to the senate, while the house of representatives had got 57 billion naira.
Other allocations include: Ten billion naira for legislative aides, 15 billion naira for the national assembly office and 2 billion naira for the commission got N15 billion.
The national assembly legislative institute got 4 billion naira while 1.1 billion naira was appropriated for service wide vote of the legislature.
