France international and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has signed a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2019-20 season.
The 32-year-old world cup winner had been out of contract this summer, which gave him the freedom to join another club as a free agent.
"I am very happy to sign a new contract. I really wanted to stay at least one more year," Giroud said.
"I have felt a part of the team, the family, since the beginning and hopefully there will be more trophies to come."
The experienced striker join the London club Arsenal in January 2018 and has since scored 17 goals in 62 appearances in all competitions.
He has played a pivotal role in the Chelsea’s run to the Europa League final, scoring 10 goals in 13 games, as well as providing three further assists.
