England international Raheem Sterling has signed a new Manchester City contract that will keep him at the club until 2023. The contract which was signed today is reportedly worth £300,000 weekly. His present contract was due to expire in 2020.
The deal is expected to make him one of the highest paid players in the English Premier league.
"I’m delighted to sign. My development here has been incredible," Sterling said.
"I felt from the minute I got here it was the right choice for me. It’s paid off and I’m really grateful."
Sterling was a key player in the City team that won the league and Carabao Cup last season, scoring 23 goals.
He has scored seven times this season. He joined City in 2015 from Liverpool in a £49 million deal.
